Chef Joey Maggiore Introduces Patsy’s New York Delicatessen
Award-Winning Restaurant Group Brings Jewish Deli to Phoenix this Spring
The Maggiore Group, renowned for bringing some of the Valley's favorite dining experiences to life, proudly introduces its newest culinary creation: Patsy’s New York Delicatessen. Led by Chef Joey Maggiore, the New York, Jewish-style deli will take over the former space of The Rosticceria, located at 12811 N. Tatum Blvd. in Phoenix, and is set to open its doors in the spring of 2025.
“We’re bringing Arizona its first one-of-a-kind bagel bar, featuring 14 uniquely flavored cream cheeses—from artichoke & spinach dip to Nutella, and even a signature pastrami lox schmear,” says Chef Joey Maggiore, co-founder of The Maggiore Group and Chef Joey Concepts. “Our New York-style bagels will be made fresh in-house daily, using authentic New York water for that perfect bite.”

Named after Chef Joey’s beloved grandfather, a butcher from the Bronx who went by the nickname Patsy, the restaurant will offer a modern take on the classic New York Jewish deli, infused with the signature over-the-top flair that The Maggiore Group is known for. This exciting new concept, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, blends the best of both worlds: a fast-casual deli counter offering grab-and-go favorites, alongside a relaxed, sit-down dining experience. Patsy’s will serve breakfast sandwiches, salads and house-cooked and smoked deli meats, all served in towering, NY style hand-carved sandwiches. Guests can also expect nostalgic items such as potato knish, unique croissants, sugar cookies, the best cheesecake outside of Manhattan, black-and-white cookies, and a show-stopping triple-decker chocolate cake.
Designed by the imaginative eye of Cristina Maggiore, Patsy’s features an immersive art installation that brings the spirit of Manhattan right to Arizona. The space is infused with vibrant diner-red accents, staff outfitted in vintage diner hats, and a thoughtful blend of old-school charm with contemporary flair, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. Guests can choose to soak in the lively energy at the fast-casual deli counter or unwind in the cozy dining room and welcoming outdoor patio. In true Maggiore Group style, Patsy’s will also showcase a custom soda bar, inviting diners to craft their own nostalgic egg creams—a frothy, Brooklyn-born classic. Celebrating New York’s iconic deli heritage, Patsy’s offers a nostalgic, yet fresh and fun dining experience designed to delight both lifelong deli enthusiasts and a new generation of food lovers.
Patsy’s will soon be hiring for dozens of positions including servers, bartenders, food runners, bussers, expeditors, hosts, line cooks and dishwashers. The Maggiore Group will release an official announcement this spring with hiring event information.
